Our next Skatetime representative comes to you from Rochester, Illinois. Steve Taft manages and also works in sales at the Skatetime Central Illinois office, which covers Eastern Missouri as well. Steve has been with the company for 24 years, and was actually a previous owner.

Steve graduated from Rochester High School in Rochester, Illinois, where he played a major role in bringing the very successful football program to the school. He and his wife, Robin, have 2 children. Mandy is 35 and Aaron is 31, they also have 3 grandchildren.

Prior to working at Skatetime, Steve worked in the farming business, where he was a farmer and managed livestock sales. Other jobs Steve had were running the family ice cream business, and a sales manager for a fund raising company. He has been in the concession business for many years and continues to do so.

In his free time, Steve enjoys going to local sporting events, snow skiing, 4-wheeling, and is still connected to the cattle business. A fun fact about him is that he used to do volleyball camps with an Olympian and assistant coach at UCLA.

Steve first learned to skate when he was about 7 or 8 years old. His parents first met at the local roller rink, where his mother was avid skater. Steve really enjoys working for Skatetime, he states "It is a great opportunity to work with a lot of great people from different backgrounds".
