The next featured Skatetime representative is our second from the Wisconsin office. Honni Al-Juma is an instructor, driver, and skate repair technician for the Skatetime Wisconsin branch. He was born in Kuwait City, Kuwait. But in 1991, during the Gulf War, he moved to Milwaukee to be with the rest of his mothers family. Honni went on to graduate from the Milwaukee High School of the Arts and then the Milwaukee Institute of Arts and Design.

When Honni first started skating it was just to be able to play roller hockey but he eventually really started to like it. He started jumping off of stairs, then building ramps, grinding rails, and his love for the sport grew and grew until he was traveling the United States skating in professional competitions. Skating quickly became a big part of Honni's life. He says that he feels blessed to have found a job doing something growing up doing for fun and free, and now gets to tell people he's a professional skater!

Prior to beginning his career with Skatetime, Honni worked as a comedian at ComedySportz Milwaukee for over a decade. After that he worked at an exotics dealership, detailing Ferraris and Lamborghinis. Outside of work, he enjoys working on cars, doing car shows, track racing, playing with his kids, and eating food.

A fun fact about Honni is that he used to have a pet camel 🐪
